For Tomorrow

"Well not all relationships last forever
and someday you just have to let go."
These words are not mine. But a student's.
It's funny a kid telling an adult the realities of life.
But I must say I was very impressed. Because these words
came from the heart.

I have made a decision and that means I have
to live with the consequences of my choice. Giving up is
not losing out. It's a sacrifice that one has to make at one point
in time in one's life. I know what I have chosen is determined not by
what I want today or wished for yesterday, but by what I hope to see
in the future. You, your way, me, mine.

The path trodden together will be there. So will the memories.
They will not go away. But, let's use today and the many days ahead
to find our own destiny. We must take different paths so that nobody will get hurt.
May we end up in the place where we really want to be.
A place where God has created for each and every servant of His.
