Choices And Consequences

An acquaintance of mine had made a mistake. He made a big mistake.
It was huge so much so that he had to leave the place he had been with to somewhere he is not even sure of. This mistake was made not once, not twice but I suppose many times over. It just went unnoticed. Unnoticed by others. So, it became a habit. And now the habit had bitten him.

We are faced with many choices every day in our lives. And we have to make them. But we do not make them blindly. Or at least we shouldn't. We make them after thinking through the pros and cons. And once we make them, we must be aware that we have consequences to take care of. They can be good, bad and even unexpected. But the point is, we must be ready. That's life.

He knew very well that the choice he made came with consequences. And the consequences were going to be tough on him. Yet he chose that choice. He just had to face the music. An unpleasant one.

I wish him the best. For this incident taught me many lessons too.
