For One More Day

So, I spent the past two days finishing the book, For One More Day by Mitch Albom.
The book has many poignant moments and they make me reflect on my own life, the way I led it in the past and the way I lead it today.
"When someone is in your heart, they're never truly gone. They can come back to you, even at unlikely times."
Some truth in it? Maybe.
I guess, then, if we want to forget someone, he shouldn't be in the heart. Then, he will truly be gone.
And I learned something. If you are really down and out, and you feel hopeless about yourself and you think you have done many wrongs and you are beyond salvation, you need to forgive yourself, the way God would. And then, start making things right again, because it is only human to fall and get hurt. It could be God's way of waking you up.
After all, if you want to get the rainbow in your life, you can't live in sunshine all day long. You have to go through a storm first.
